Tyto tenebricosa  

The Lesser Sooty Owl, found in Tropical North Queensland is darker than the Sooty found in South Eastern Australia.

A night of spotlighting produced this curious bird who remained for a minute wondering what I was doing wandering around in the rainforest in the middle of the night!
